Parent Information Rack Card

On June 12th, parents/ guardians can access their child’s STAAR results and a suite of other resources to support summer learning at home by visiting TexasAssessment.gov. The school will also receive paper copies of the STAAR Report Card (SRC) to distribute to parents over the summer.

The attached document is to explain to you the steps parents/guardians must take to access their child’s STAAR results at TexasAssessment.gov.

2019 May STAAR Administrations

The State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR) is a series of state-mandated standardized tests used in Texas schools to assess a student’s achievements and knowledge learned in the grade level or course.

No campus visitations or guests at HSA Dallas on STAAR testing days or on the STAAR makeup testing days.

Please refrain from making any lunch deliveries on STAAR testing days.

Parents, you may help your student by ensuring that they have plenty of rest the night before they are scheduled to test, eat a well-balanced breakfast the morning of testing, Cell Phone Policy- According to TEA students are not permitted to have cell phones or other electronic devices on their person or within reach during STAAR testing. If the student has a cell phone it must be turned off and turned in to the teacher to be placed in a cabinet until after testing. Cell phone usage during testing is a serious violation and will be considered cheating.

In accordance with the Texas Education Code, Section 39.025, the commissioner of education adopts certain assessments that a student may use in place of a corresponding end-of-course (EOC) assessment under the TEC section 39.023(c) to meet the student’s assessment graduation requirements. A satisfactory score on an approved substitute assessment may be used in place of only one specific EOC assessment.

AP exams will start @ 8:00 and 12:00 sharp and any student after the timed section starts will not be allowed to the testing rooms. Please be on time.
